UNDER ARMOUR | HoVR Connected Footwear Product Testing & Marketing

 

HOVR is Under Armour's latest innovation in cushioning technology. Connected HOVR footwear includes an embedded sensor that seamlessly transmits a runner's real-time workout metrics via Under Armour's flagship running application, MapMyRun.

This allows athletes to take their workouts to new heights while also being able to make sure that every step counts. After each workout, athletes are able to view their metrics and suggestions that will help take their next run to a higher level.

To ensure the success of the HOVR Record-Equipped lineup, Under Armor needed Austin-based product testers from various demographics to validate sensors embedded in their new iteration of connected running footwear.

As a member of their agile team, I executed various marketing recruitment strategies and product tests to ensure the successful launch of their first global product.

I worked with Ashton during the development and testing of Under Armour Connected HOVR footwear. He wore dozens of hats during that period, recruiter to test facilitator. He wore them all really well but his work as a marketer for the testing program was where he really shined. On a tight budget, Ashton increased the total number of testers in the program and the number of testers in key demographics. Furthermore, he did it all with a positive attitude and a smile.
